On the subject of designing around electronic VAV diffusers, the discussion is usually over before it starts.
No problem. 15X the cost of something that works is a challenge for any sales effort.
But there are a lot of contractors and engineers who design around it out East.
Why?
Total installed cost for individual room control.
Seems impossible at $800/unit, but it’s true. And no, there’s no 50% off coupon.
A terminal box with a piped reheat coil is, how much again? Two grand?
High pressure ductwork upstream of VAV boxes isn’t free either. It all adds up.
Oh yeah, we have it installed at Air Flow. Not just because we buy the Kool-Aid from Price Industries.
