A new railway across India creates the possibility for an ordinary human to circumvent the globe, representing a massive paradigm shift in travel and trade.
Phileas Fogg makes his big bet, to span the globe in 80 days. Consequently, he spends much of his journey taking enormous risks. For example, he makes a daring escape in a hot air balloon in the movie version of the book.
I can draw a parallel for my own adventures.
5 years ago, my business partner and I made our own risky bet, to fabricate Thermaduct and Koolduct.
The paradigm shift we hope to create isn’t as big as world travel.
But just as in ‘Around the World’, some things in the world have shifted, and those shifts make room for new possibilities, including the need for especially tight HVAC systems.
No expectations for you to read the book or see the movie if you haven’t. If you decide to join me for class, you can hear a different-but-still-interesting story about outdoor ducting, duct leakage, system leakage.
After all, we’re just trying to stay afloat. Yes, that was intended.
