You don’t need to attend the Heating Large Spaces Class. You’re cool.

“Should I sign up for the heating class?”

“These products are straightforward. Probably not much to learn.”

How the average engineer looks at these topics: (No judgment here. This is what you’d say.)

  • Infrared: It heats objects instead of air. I get it.
  • Destratification: Very tall buildings should have some form of it.
  • Large Fan Selection: Fan software is easy.
  • Air curtains: If code requires, I’ll put them in.
  • Makeup air: If code requires, I’ll put them in. Then they can open their building doors more easily.

All true statements. And if you miss the class, those statements will still be true.

Here are the statements you will leave with, should you decide to attend the class:

  • Infrared: I had no appreciation for the technology in this product, nor its capabilities. It’s actually pretty slick.
  • Destratification: I look at every space above 8 feet tall differently now.
  • Large Fan Selection: I could have saved my customer a LOT of aggravation. I won’t repeat that mistake.
  • Air curtains: I never considered the positive impact industrial air curtains could have.
  • Makeup air: I see that I was missing the boat to what makeup air actually accomplishes.

You still too cool for school?
