Hey folks,
It’s been a while since Air Flow shared any news to share on the product front. Here we go!
Bry-Air – Win
Air Flow has joined up with Bry-Air for desiccant solutions
Many of you remember Air Flow’s promotion of Advantix. Unfortunately, Air Flow’s success with Advantix wasn’t matched in other US markets, and ultimately Advantix filed for bankruptcy protection. That left us without a desiccant solution for the past number of years.
Now, Air Flow is teamed up with Bry-Air.
The Bry-Air solution does employ a regenerative silica gel wheel and requires high temperature regeneration, like that of other desiccant equipment suppliers.
Bry-Air’s EcoDry product is the most energy efficient desiccant dehumidifier on the market today because its proprietary energy management system cuts energy usage in off-peak conditions without sacrificing performance.
Bry-Air also a broad line of compact dehumidifiers that range from 100 cfm to 1800 cfm.
There will be an opportunity for you to learn about the application of desiccants in upcoming training classes. We’ll keep you posted.
Acutherm by Price – Win
Accutherm’s main product offering is a self-modulating non-powered diffuser. And while that’s all fine and dandy, we’re interested in the product as an alternative to variable volume systems.
Applied properly, VAV diffuser systems can provide individual room control, significantly better room mixing and comfort, and at a lower total installed cost than a VAV system. We just had a class on it and we’ll be making rounds to engineers and contractors this spring. Air Flow uses VAV diffusers in our office, and they work extremely well.
Price Industries owns Accutherm, but the representative channels are independent. Now we have both!
There’s an introductory webinar “Acutherm: Overview of Therma-Fuser™ VAV Systems” on Thursday February 21st 12:30-1:00 pm CST.
In this 30-minute presentation we’ll be introducing Acutherm’s Therma-Fuser™ diffuser system. Learn how the technology works to deliver superior occupant comfort, greater operational efficiency, and a lower first installation cost. Audience questions will be answered throughout the presentation.
Thermaduct and Koolduct – 2 Wins
Thermaduct and Koolduct are being manufactured inside Air Flow’s home base. We just started fabrication in January.
Just so we’re clear, it’s a different company. Air Flow’s sales people are selling the product, and Special Operations Ductwork Inc. (SODI) is the Veteran Owned manufacturing entity that is renting space from yours truly.
The first project was shipped at the end of January and there is some backlog building. Such a neat product. While the Thermaduct has a compelling story, contractors are going to start considering the Koolduct for their indoor applications. No offense insulators, but who needs you?
Gripple – Win
More and more Gripple stock will be coming into Air Flow’s Warehouse. We’re halfway through a racking project that will allow us to increase inventory levels and keep ductwork manufacturing here.
Samsung – Loss
Air Flow was fired by Samsung in January. That one was too bad as we feel we’d made some good inroads with the product in both contracting and engineering communities. That’s OK. We’re big kids. We’ve been fired before and we’ll get fired again. We really enjoyed learning the ropes with VRF systems and splits, and imagine we’ll be back in that market before too long.
