Meet Jason Leffingwell: Your Guide to Mastering Psychrometrics

When I picked this class for 2025, I didn’t know who our speaker would be.

As you know, the class is named “Psychedelics Psychrometrics for Dummies”.

Some things are just meant to be.

Dude. Cosmic.

Jason volunteers, and the planets align.

And here he is, drinking his Terrapin (Station) beer at our 50th.

If there was only a sign, here it is.

Jason is just the kind of mind-expanding speaker we need to inject wisdom and joy into a technical subject.

Some fun facts about Jason:

Before he was an HVAC engineer, he was a high school failure, painted water towers, dropped out of college, and managed the Mars Hotel night club in Riverwest.
After the night club, Jason was a beer salesman for Specialty Beverage. Beers he swung; Bells, Tyranena, Summit, Northern Cali flavors (Anderson Valley &North Coast), Milwaukee Brewing Co. to name a few.
Jason has participated on the leadership team of 2009 Wisconsin chapter ASHRAE CRC.
Jason was the General Committee Chair for the 2019 ASHRAE CRC; no small feat! (I participated in both those CRCs, as we got to know each other)
Jason now serves as the ASHRAE Region 6 Vice Chair for Membership of Promotion and as the Region 6 CRC Advisory Chair, as other chapters attempt to emulate the success Wisconsin Chapter has had with our CRCs.
I’ve personally seen Jason out and about town at Deadelijk and Another One; two Grateful Dead cover bands, enjoying the jam sessions.
